School Policies

  • New students may attend a placement/audition class.
  • Evaluations and advancements are made regularly throughout the dance season.
  • Students are encouraged to arrive early to check in at the desk and stretch.
  • Students should be dressed appropriately and be prepared to start class at the designated time. Lateness is disruptive to the lesson.
  • Dress code is consistently enforced.
  • For safety reasons; please do not chew gum or wear excessive jewelry in class.
  • Attendance is recorded.  The office will call students who have inconsistent attendance.
  • No refunds for classes missed for any reason, however, classes may be made up if the studio is notified no later than 1/2 hour before the scheduled class.  Make-up classes are the responsibility of the student.  Permission to enter another class for make-ups must be arranged by calling the reception desk and approved for level appropriateness.
  • Parents and guests are permitted to observe classes only on scheduled visitation week.
  • We communicate to students and parents throughout the dance year by handouts & studio posted signs.  Please read what is sent home, post in a convenient location as well as visit the studio from time to time to check our announcements.
  • We ask parents not to approach teachers about student's progress between classes, please call for an appointment in order to allow proper attention.
  • The spring dance concert, held in June, is not mandatory but encouraged. Most of the dance year will be devoted to technique and only a small percentage of class time will be geared toward the concert.
